Office stretches Part A

 

Here are some exercises you can do at your desk:


Neck Retraction- Push your neck straight back

Neck Rotation - Make a semicircle from right to left or vice versa

Shoulder rolls -Begin by placing your hands on your shoulders, roll your shoulders clockwise or anti-clockwise    

Shoulder and upper arm stretch - Position yourself as in picture and use your left hand to push the right elbow backwards.

Forearm stretch - Keeping your palm faced out, use the other hand to push your fingers backwards as shown in the picture above.

Forearm stretch - Keeping your palm faced in, use the other hand to push your fingers inwards as shown in the picture above.
Upper back stretch - Position yourself as in the picture, rotate your trunk by allowing your left hand to push the right.

Chest stretch - Brace your shoulders backwards squeezing your shoulder blades.

Trunk rotation - Holding the armrest, twist your trunk towards the same side

Remember to lock the wheels of your chair and avoid jerky movements.

  Pilates System - Core Stabilization Techniques on the Mat  Pilates is an effective method of body conditioning that focuses on posture, breath control, flexibility, toning and strengthening muscles.
